Conner De Mita

Director/Screenwriter

Conner De Mita graduated from NYU's Tisch School of the Arts with a BFA in Film and Television, having also participated in their experimental film program in Paris. Since moving back to his native Los Angeles, Conner has worked as a production assistant both on sets and in offices, as well as doing script adaptation for Netflix's foreign language content, and has studied playwriting at the Antaeus Theatre Company. Conner's short film BROTHER X competed at the 2019 Vancouver Queer Film Festival. Conner prefers questions to answers in storytelling and is drawn to extremity, subtlety and daring in filmmaking.

 

Seb Steinberger

Producer

Originally from Vienna, Austria, Sebastian Steinberger graduated from Columbia College Chicago with a BFA in Television Producing & Entrepreneurship on an accelerated track. He also spent a summer at NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, taking various TV-focused classes. For the past four years, Seb has lived in Los Angeles, where he interned at Artists First, The Ellen DeGeneres Show and Color Force while completing his degree. Subsequently, he began working at Mosaic Media Group, where he was an assistant to two literary managers before coming to the AFI Conservatory.

 

Ari Jacobson

Co-Screenwriter

Ari Jacobson was inspired to pursue screenwriting while working on several major productions, including as assistant to director Paul Feig on GHOSTBUSTERS (2016). He thus began working nights as a bartender, an experience which fed his creativity. Ari's credits also include writing sketch comedy at Upright Citizens Brigade NYC and creating online content for Discovery Communications. Previously, Ari was co-owner of a production company, for which he wrote/produced several projects, including a music video with 345 million views. A graduate of American University with a BA in Film and Media Arts, Ari also studied at FAMU in Prague.

 

Nathan Podshadley

Cinematographer

Nathan Podshadley is a cinematographer born and raised in Gilroy, California. He spent his formative years in New York City as an apprentice to photographer Mark Seliger. Upon leaving Mark’s studio, he began shooting documentary and narrative work that has screened at festivals including TriBeCa and NYFF.

 

Spencer Shiffman

Editor

Spencer Shiffman hails from Toronto Canada. He majored in English and History at McGill university in Montreal, which he graduated in 2010. He started off working as a producer’s assistant on CBS television shows, as well as the assistant photographer of the Toronto Raptors. In 2015, he began working in post-production on award winning advertising campaigns. Following this and prior to attending AFI, he was working in the Directors Guild of Canada as an assistant editor on various narrative feature films, and network tv shows. He loves watching movies, playing basketball and hanging out with his spouse Erica, and dog, Sunny.
